Potty training is like this unknown beast for a first-timer and with two toddlers, it seems like I’m trying to hit both birds with one stone. However, who knows how long this “training” will be going on and while I find joy in the little accomplishments where we celebrate with a potty dance, IT IS WORK!!! So, for those of you who’ve been through it, are going through it or are completely clueless, this is what I’m finding and you may have to look forward to: Monkey See, Monkey Do – Since my almost 2...

The NBA Finals are upon us and I can’t wait for tip off tomorrow night at Oracle Arena in Oakland when the Golden State Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 1. You may wonder what professional basketball has to do with my babies, and more specifically my womb, so please…allow me to explain. Professional basketball, specifically the NBA has always been a big deal in my house. My ethnic heritage is Filipino and well, if there’s a blanket statement you can make about Filipino people, it’s safe to say that...

My boys are finally getting to an age and stage where they are connecting the dots and showing interest in dressing up like some of their favorite characters and I’ll catch them in “character” here and there as they take on different roles. Last Halloween I put them in custom superhero shirts and capes…and they wore them for all of 5 minutes! The other week my older toddler had his face painted for the very first time and he chose to be a tiger. We attended a Disney “Jake and the Neverland Pirates”...

A fellow blogger in my media bloggers group recently wrote a post offering her tips and tricks for how she lost the baby weight (without exercising), and it inspired me to share my story, and  how I have managed weight loss, body shape and (attempted) fitness after delivering 2 baby boys in 2 years. I’ve never been a fitness fanatic or enthusiast, yes I’ve danced professionally – but the fitness part for me “was part of the job,” so I participated because it was mandatory. I am “lucky” that genetically,...

My boys were invited to a “Construction Zone” themed birthday party and I thought the Mom-in-Charge pulled together the theme really well!! First off, check out the cake, what a fun cake with great use of chocolate and work vehicles. Decor included orange cones, caution tape and construction hats…there were hot pink ones for the girls in attendance. There were also lots of balloons in orange, black and yellow…along with this Tonka Truck! Favors were stuffed in these cute Home Depot aprons, filled with bubbles,...

We are fresh off a family trip to Las Vegas, and when I say “family,” it was a large chunk of my family…all my siblings + their significant others, my mom, dad, an aunt and some cousins. It was my boys first time to Sin City – a top destination for toddlers, right? LOL! Well, we made the visit for my sister Adrienne’s wedding and we weren’t on “the strip” but in downtown Las Vegas aka Old Vegas. The wedding festivities were wonderful and we all had a great time. Doing Vegas without kids...

My kids love bubbles. I think it’s a given for children, bubbles are such an amazing, fun and simple thing. So now that it’s warming up my boys have been asking more and more about bubbles…I mean, sure it’s not an activity limited to outdoors, BUT I’d rather have them run around and spill all of the bubble solution outside, rather than inside! Okay, so for Easter they got these giant “Paw Patrol” bubble wands. I liked those because it’s easy for my toddlers to grip and they quickly got...

This parenting thing isn’t always easy. Everyday we are confronted with new challenges and situations, many of which are things we could’ve never prepared for…but nonetheless, life happens and you just figure it out along the way. As moms and dads we have a huge responsibility on our shoulders, to raise children who will be happy, healthy and productive members of society. We want to prepare them and give them the tools to be successful and achieve any dream – big or little, that their hearts desire. Well, I by...

The moment I found out I was having a baby girl, I already knew what her 1st birthday party theme would be: Hello Kitty, of course! As a lifelong fan of the red-bowed childhood favorite, it was the obvious choice. With a sweet tooth the size of California and a penchant for baked goods, I wanted to make the dessert buffet the centerpiece. So I set out to bake cake pops, Rice Krispy treats, cupcakes and sugar cookies. Sounds ambitious, I know — especially since I had never made sugar cookies in my life! (I chose a brilliant time...

My toddlers “Krushed It” over the weekend in a 1k fun run for the Kettle Krush 2015 event. Last year, we did it for the first time, so it was a must, to return this year. I am by no means a runner, matter of fact, I have a ton of friends who’ve taken up running and doing these runs as their favorite weekend activities…I have always maintained I can support, but I am better suited for cheering them on along the course and greeting them at the finish line. A 1k though, a “fun run”…no problem! What...
