Q: How do you balance being a Mommy and keeping your sense of self?
A: I balance being a mom and keeping my sense of self by including my daughter in things that I do for work! Since I’m a DJ, we like to shop for music together and listen to new sounds. I get advice from her on new and upcoming artists that her and her friends like, plus she loves to play the piano and guitar so we have a lot in common!
Q: How do you incorporate fitness into your daily routine?
A: Fitness is very important to me! Since Bella was in my belly I’ve been active in yoga and love to walk! Now that she is older we walk the dog together at night, after we cook a healthy meal together. We also love paddle-boarding. I also try to make the weekends active, so sometimes we go to the Scott Rakow Center on Miami Beach and ice skate too.
Q: Share your best or favorite place for a family vacation and tell us why.
A: Our favorite family vacation spot has to be Captiva Island. It has been a tradition for my husband’s family for over 30 years and we look forward to it every September. About 30 of us meet on the island and we have the best time, from cooking to fishing, to the water slides at the pool!
Q: Share something you have learned about yourself since you became a Mom.
A: Since becoming a mom I have learned a lot about myself. I have become more confident and driven! I want to be a role model for my daughter and let her know any dream is possible. I am currently DJing and traveling all over, which was one of my dreams… and it’s because of Bella that I have pursued my dream of becoming a DJ! I live for my daughter everything I do is for her.
Q: Describe your “Haute Mom” (fashion) style!
A: My Haute Mom fashion style is glam rock! I love wearing gowns and diamonds, and I love a rocker tee with a leather mini!!! I never leave home without my black leather motto jacket, I’ve had it for 15 years!
